There’s currently quick access to those foothill trails via Hidden Springs or at the Eagle Bike Park, but there are future plans to create trails directly from Dry Creek Ranch to the other trail hubs. With a community swimming pool, plans for an equestrian center, plans for large fields and other play areas, Dry Creek Ranch is a little slice of heaven in the hills.

Even though it has a Boise address, Dry Creek Ranch, as of May 2021, is located in the West Ada School District and the kids would attend Eagle schools. There are also great charter schools close by like Rolling Hills Charter and Northstar Charter school.

Located off of highway 55, you can get to kayaking and river rafting within 30 minutes..and it’s just another hour up the highway from there for true mountain lake access in Cascade or McCall. Quick access to the mountain wilderness is what living in Idaho is all about.

Dry Creek Ranch will be a huge community – one of the largest in Boise, Idaho, once it is completed. It is expected that the community will expanding into some of the surrounding small valleys and consist of homes on small lots, up to homes on an acre. The homes on an acre are mostly custom homes, 3000-6000 sf, with some sort of shop, and range anywhere from $1.5 million on up in May of 2021. The custom home sites are the first to sell when they become available.

If proximity to downtown Boise is important, than you’ll like living in Dry Creek Ranch. You can get from the main entrance of Dry Creek down to downtown Boise via State Street in about 20 minutes. Or, if you want a scenic route and to avoid traffic, head down Hill Road and get there in about the same time. Once Dry Creek expands closer to Hidden Springs and Cartwright Ranch, you could also get to downtown Boise via Cartwright Ranch road – it’s a beautiful drive through the foothills, and you’ll think you’re in the middle of nowhere until you suddenly drop down into downtown Boise via Bogus Basin road.
