The city of has worked very hard to revitalize the downtown area, and it shows. There are year-round events and activities including a 4th of July Parade and fireworks, a Mother’s Day Vintage Market, the rodeo, the Indian Creek Festival with cardboard kayaking, a farmers’ market, and the super popular Winter Festival that seems to be right out of a Hallmark movie.  Indian Creek runs through the heart of downtown, and there is a paved pathway for biking or walking along it. Indian Creek Plaza offers new restaurants and a beautiful place to hang out.  This little city offers some beautiful parks, and if you want to fish or cool off in the hot summer, there is Lake Lowell on the south side of town.
