Nampa, Idaho is Idaho’s third largest city.  In 2023, it was also the fastest growing city in Idaho. It is on the Southwest side of the Treasure Valley, about 30 minutes from downtown Boise, right next to Caldwell, and about 20 minutes South of Middleton. With just over 105,000 people and, like everywhere else in the valley, is growing rapidly. It is the heart of Canyon County, with the majority of the shopping, medical, schools, etc… for the county.

Nampa, Idaho was built around an agricultural community, and that influence is still thriving, a big part of the economy, and a part of life. It is mostly flat farmland around town with the Owyhee desert mountains to the south and Boise, the Boise mountains and access to Idaho wilderness to the North. There is great access to desert recreation for ATVing, dirt biking, camping, etc… in places like Lake Owyhee and Succor Creek Recreation area.

Nampa, Idaho has a couple of hospitals, but you’d still head to Boise for any major medical or specialists. There are stores like Costco, Target, Old Navy, etc… and a movie theater, plenty of grocery stores, lots of city parks, and Lake Lowell, a great place for boating or a summer barbecue. And it’s only about 20 minutes to Meridian for other shopping and things like Roaring Springs Water Park.  With a revitalized downtown area, it can make a great place to live. Oh, and it’s also close to all the wineries in Canyon County!

There is a wide range of home styles in Nampa, Idaho. There are starter homes to custom-designed million-dollar properties. From apartments, to condos, to single family 1500 sf homes to 4000 sf homes to those million-dollar custom homes on acreage, there is something for everyone. The home prices are lower than in Boise or Meridian, but more expensive than Caldwell.
