Kuna, Idaho, in Ada County, is the quiet little farm town that has been discovered. In 2023, the population is about 32,000 and growing rapidly. Out of all the small towns around Boise, it has the most potential for developing into a really lovely city due to the larger city center area already there, the better traffic flow (compared to Middleton or Star), and its proximity to downtown Boise. Located about 25 minutes South of Downtown Boise, it has close access to the Boise airport and Highway 84, and there are a few wide, four lane roads from the highway to get to Kuna, so it is more accessible than Star or Middleton. Farther from the Boise mountains, it really is in the flat agricultural land surrounded by farms and desert with a unique beauty all its own. It’s close to the wineries, to the Snake River recreation areas, to the Owyhee mountains, and desert recreation for fun, but you can always get into Boise or Meridian on one of the main roads in about 15-20 minutes for anything else you’d like.

Kuna, Idaho has grocery stores, a little downtown, a close-knit community with plenty of community activities, and a beautiful path down the Indian Creek. For things like Costco, Target, etc… you’ll have to head to Boise for things like:

• Boise Towne Square Mall

Kuna, Idaho does have a lower cost of housing than Boise, Meridian, Star, or Eagle. It is about on par with cost of housing in Nampa, but as Kuna grows, you will see a HUGE range is home prices.  Currently, they range from 294K to $3.95M – there are many new subdivisions with smaller homes on smaller lots as well as custom built Idaho ranch homes on large farms.
